My previous car was a 1990 2-litre 9000S non-turbo, and the auto gearbox lasted about 150,000 miles. It was serviced very regularly and to a high standard (I think!) including regular fluid and filter changes. With a 200K km car putting out 50% more power you are heading into unknown territory, where you may or may not be lucky. Having said which, many faults with gearbox operation can be repaired, up till the time it may fail (in my case, suddenly, irrevocably and expensively).
However, cars do need maintenance and I would be much less worried about expenditure on the gearbox if I had paid the right price for the car. On the face of it, certainly in British terms the price is at least twice what you might expect to give for a private sale. As well as getting the price down considerably, I would seriously consider asking the sellers to purchase a mechanical warranty on your behalf - or maybe looking for another Saab. My personal opinion only - good luck whatever you deside!
