If I had to guess, I'd assume it's one of the two idler pulleys. You have one for the AC belt, and one for the serpentine belt. When the pulley bearings get tired, you get a grumbly sound from under the hood.
To diagnose, grab a couple of feet of hose about 1" dia. Hold one end to your ear, and move the other around the engine compartment. You'll be able to isolate the sound pretty quickly. To check the pulley, remove the belt and spin the pulley with your hand. You'll know a bad pulley when you feel it.
I recommend you buy your pulleys mail order - MUCH cheaper than the dealer. Check the places that advertise at the bottom of the page. An even cheaper solution is to bring the old pulley down to your local autoparts store and see if they can match the bearing. They are pretty stock. Press out the old, press in the new, and you're good to go. A little more hassle, less $$.
The AC blower stuck on high means that you need a new blower resistor pack. It's located on the blower motor behind the false bulkhead. Pretty easy to get to - just remove the panels in the engine compartment at the base of the windshield. The resistor pack dies, and the fan goes to high. Replacement is easy.
Good luck!
