I Have a '94 9000 Aero and I replace my 55w fog lamps with 100w lamps.
I has no problems with melting let alone a fuse blow. There is a 15 amp
fuse in your engine bay (tinted plastic box). You shouldn't have any
problems in you have a late model 9000. I also found different colored
lights bulbs for the back lighted headlights. I also upgraded to cool
blue head lights with no problems. You should be fine but keep a close
eye on things prior to upgrading.
One note. I did not notice a big improvement in the 100w upgrade. I now
live in Florida, but I used to live in Michigan where it rained and snowed
alot and the lenses of the fog light assy turned a yellowish color from
the moisture and heat. It is much more dry down here in Florida. If you
live in a dry area you may have better luck. I would ultimatly recommend
sticking with the 55w bulb. If you want more lighting that you will actually notice, then you should add some Hella's or PIAA.
