Probably worn clutch pedal. . . .

I had this problem on my '85 900T. The clutch would stay partially depressed. . . .a few minutes later it would clunk and return to the normal position (I had already replace the clutch assembly AND master cylinder). I found that the hole where the clutch pivots was so worn that it would stick. I think you can buy new a new pedal for cheap from one of the site sponsors. . . . Take a look at your pedal and see if this is your problem.
