Audio Installation (ongoing...)

Hi Guys,
Wow the messages on this board move fast! As someone noted the other day when I was explaining my audio installation so far (stock clarion cd, Phoenix Gold QX4150 amp, Focal 3-Way) it seemed like a waste to use such a poor source. Thus, feeling ashamed of my car audio ignorance I went out and bought a Clarion Pro Preamp/CD player/Tuner (DRX95752), it has no power amp, with a 3x4 volt output (I was impressed with its 30 ohm output impedance, which is better than my Levinson 28 at home). Hopefully running the system from its RCA outputs will get rid of the engine noise and general distortion. If it doesn't I'll be back! ;-) I'll miss the EQ on the Clarion, but I can always add one later. What a money pit.
Now to sub systems. I'm planning, for now, to bridge two of the four outputs on the PG into a sub. Later, I'll get a dedicated sub amp and use the PG to bi-amp the Focals. What bass system configuration works well with a Saab 9K?
Thanks,
Bill
