This is an easy thing to find out in your own car with your own driving pattern. Conduct your own trials and see what works best for you - the opinions of others are irrelevant to your particular and unique situation.
For me, whenever I've measured fuel economy in my previous cars, it was always better with the 92/93 by a margin large enough to offset the higher cost. So in cost per mile it is a wash or even an advantage to use the 92/93, for me. Plus you throw in the better performance (at least in the cars I've had) and it becomes a no-brainer. Your milage may vary, literally. :-) There is no one magic answer to this question.
