for the wires simply line them up in a triangle with the ground on the bottom and then line up the new sensor wires in the same position. Then your two whites should be appropriately lined up. If you mess up then the engine light should come on because the reading will be faulty

I just did this and bought the ford one with the three pin circular conector. What I did was cut the wires from the old one and crimp on the female part of a bullet connector to each wire. Size 18-22 gauge. They are the red/pink ones. I found that if you hold all three together in a triangle they slip very nicely into the ford plug. I've been driving with this for three weeks now and it seems secure. You could always wrap the whole thing with electrical tape just to make sure they don't wiggle loose. This will also make it easier when you decide to change your sensor down the road. This also keeps the tephlon coating intact to help w/ heat.
