Yesterday on the way home I put the drivers side window down and when I tried to put it back up again nothing happened. Now I'm stuck with the
window down and I can't figure out what the problem is. I planned to replace the window switch and regulator/motor anyway so I went ahead and did that, but it seems as though no power is getting to the motor. I hooked up a voltmeter to the two wires that connect to the window motor and when the switch is activated I get a reading of 11.5 volts. However, when I connect a good test light it doesn't light up. When pressing the window switch I can hear a faint clicking sound that appears to be coming from under the drivers seat somwhere (relay?). The rear windows seem to be working fine, but now the passenger window will intermittently not go up. I suspect it's a ground issue but I'm not sure how & where the window motors are grounded. Also, now the power locks stopped working. Any clues to where the proble might lie?
