GM, balanced operation? I had no idea you could run that in car audio. When I began running balanced at home (between my Mark Levinson pre and power components) I was shocked at the depth of silence -- there's a paradox for you. What I mean is, going from single ended to balanced cleaned up any and all grunge in the background. Must be awesome in the car environment! May I ask what you are using as a power amp? What are you using for interconnect?
My next step will be to convert all my home equipment to 240 volts, i.e. balanced power(like you lucky folk in the UK). Too bad I can't have a dedicated 60 amp service and audiophile approved ground for the car -- well, suppose I could with a long enough take up reel...
