I just had the (dis)pleasure of fixing one of my rear door which wouldn't open from the inside or outside. First, check the child safety lock. If that's not it then you have to remove the door panel, which is a little bit of a pain. The problem should make itself clear upon inspection. Likely a bent rod or the mechanism is just a bit stuck. If it's the handle itslef, you can replace it without removing the panel. To remove the door panel:

need torx bits
extension for nut driver / rachet

prise off power window switch and assembly

unplug switch from harness and remove

remove two torx screws, pull interior door handle and remove surround

prise off round rubber covers on door pull and remove both bolts (extension needed)

prise off covers of bolts on either side of map pocket and remove bolts

Remove small T10 screw from door light, pull out light, unplug from harness and remove

Unscrew bracket behind door light and either remove or swivel out of way

Pop off door panel from fasteners around bottom of door. A screw driver may be needed for a bit of leverage but I was able to do it by hand.

Gently lift up on door panel to pop off upper fasteners and remove panel
