Front suspension Torque settings?

I installed all new bushings in the front end this weekend but I have some questions on the torque settings. I have the Haynes manual but apparantly I'm not able to translate Brittish. ;-)
What should the ball joints that attach to the hub/outer assembly be?
Lastly what is the torque setting on the rear bushing mounting nut? The long rod that passes through the bushing. If tightened very tight the bushing does not turn without great effort. My bushings that were in there had the center sleeve ripped out and I'm worried my new ones might suffer the same fate with a heavy torque setting. TIA.
