I've had good luck with Bosch, but then again Posted by bryan [Email] (#542) [Profile/Gallery] (more from bryan) on Wed, 23 May 2001 12:35:00 In Reply to: Bosch, Brian, Wed, 23 May 2001 10:32:40 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I'm in San Diego, I could go without wipers 330 days out of the year. Aaron should know about wipers, being from Seattle and all. Been a while, but I used to live in Seattle and Portland, I had good luck with Bosch and Trico, but that was a loooong time ago and the last Trico's I looked at didn't impress me.
One trick to get more mileage out of your wipers is when they start to smear, wipe them down with denatured alcohol (lacquer thinner works better for spiffing up tired rubber parts, but I can just see somebody sloshing lacquer thinner all over their hood).
That will remove a lot of the oxidized rubber and trapped grime on the wiper and give it some new life, works well! If you find yourself changing wiper blades frequently, might wanna try that and save some money :D
