This is a lot of info. What I plan on doing is using synthetic for sure
in the auto trans as they runs much hotter then the engines.
In regard to RP I was speaking to a stock car racing mechanic/hobbist today. He has a chrysler, dyno turning 800hp. He repects the RP product but after trying RP he decided against RP. His reasons were it was more heavily bodied and from initial start it took too long (10s of seconds) to get up oil pressure. Whereas the Amsoil and MObil1 bring up the oil pressure instantly. He says this is important to him as he only has one car. He would like it to last. Those trailers stacked with RP are in front of money sponsored cars. He suspects the performance is better but wonders about wear waiting for the pressure to build. His theory is winning races may be more important to the sponsors as they expect to by engines. As he is a mechanic and auto/builder I tend to to give creedance to his theory.
What do you Think???
