Pirellis vs. Michelins

I posted this Item first on the 9 3 board..Thought you all should have a
look at the content..
May 11 I replaced my OEM Michelin 195 x 15 MXV radials with
Pirelli V rated 195 x 15. The Pirellis were supposingly a more
highly rated tire, per independent testing. My auto is a 1999 Saab 9-3
turbo with 28000 miles.
The performance on the Michelins was absolutely great, like you were
riding attached to to a track. The Pirellis squirmed above 65 mph and would hydroplane. The Pirellis in short were unpredictable and made me nervous. The Pirellis had softer shoulders and the Saab leaned more while cornering. I didn't feel in control. Although I bought the Pirellis from a
tire store I balanced them a second time at the Saab Dealer.
Today I had the Tire Store remove the Pirellis and installed 4 new Michelin MXVs as I had before. The difference Ladies and Gentlemen...
NIGHT & DAY... The Michelins are vastly superior to this driver. Also For the past 2 years I drove the MIchelins in wet and snow, here in New England, and they never let me down or made me feel without control or traction..
My advice, based on this experience, On 9-3s Stick with Michelins..I didn't believe the $70 more per tire was justified over the Pirellis. I stand humbled and corrected..
Feedback..Opinions..??
