Yep, that's the upper mount, and it doesn't look half bad in the photo. There are supposed to be gaps in the rubber to help control vibration. You can also look down at the lower mounts (there are 2) for a quick inspection; stand at the right fender near the AC and Alt, and look down to the chassis. The front one has a u shaped bracket over top, but you should be able to see it. The rear one is more difficult to see, but you should be able to look down behind the engine below the intake manifold and see it. When these go (I hear the front fails first?) you'll see grease oozing out of them, a little like when a CV Joint boot breaks. Mine got so bad the dipstick cap was rubbing against the firewall.

If your Trans mount is badly off-center, I'd bet it's bad, too. It may only be tweaked because the lower mounts are gone. I'd check it carefully. Also, if you switch to Poly bushings instead of rubber, be prepared for a lot more vibration when you drive. I understand the strongest choice is to use rubber on the upper mount at the fender point. I have 2 poly mounts in the upper and it is noticably harsher. Even went with the solid rubber lowers to try getting better life. Pretty harsh; go with the hydraulics and put in the reinforcement suggested by Townsend or Quasi.

As for the work, I've done all mine except the tranny. I did the uppers first, then the lowers later. Uppers are simple: detatch the bracket from the fender and remove the center bolts. Take the bracket to a shop and have them press out the old (I've heard you can remove them at home, but it seems difficult) and press in the new. The lowers require you to remove the wheel and the wheel arch liner, and then there's plenty of room. You'll have to be able to jack up the engine a bit for the front one, and take off the bracket that bolts to the engine for the back one. I did these one at a time.

The tranny mount on mine (87 9kT) was cast as part of the trans housing, but yours looks like it is held on by a bracket. You may be lucky with that one, but I haven't been there myself. So, good luck; sorry if this is long-winded, but I hope it helps!
