OK folks here we go-
I have a 94 9k CDE non/turbo Automatic with 100,014 miles on her. I love this thing but of course there is a problem that drives me nuts. When starting it starts fine. The RPMs go up to 1200 and then settke down to about 800 and stay there. With the ACC on or off in about 30 seconds the engine cuts out. It does not die off which would signal a vaccuumm (sp??)leak. If after starting I put it into drive or reverse it will idle fine and run strong. But as soon as I put it into park or nuetral it will run for about 3 seconds and stall. If I put it back into gear again it will surge up and then settle back down like it should. It will also run fine if I go from drive to reverse. It really sounds like a relay engages and then it stalls. I went through the vaccuum lines a few months ago. I did find a bad one on the charcoal can. and replaced as many others as I could find.
As usual any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated. Did I say that I love this thing??
Good day all- Marty
