I assume that when you pull the DI cassette out, you see oil in the 'well' where the spark plugs are. If so, look up a little higher on that 'well' where the head meets the valve cover. Wipe it with a clean cloth - I'll bet it comes away with a thin layer of oil on it.

Yes, it could be oil leaking from the DI cassette. But most likely it's oil leaking from the valve cover gasket. They dry up and leak after 4 or 5 years, and when that oil leaks, it flows down into the spark plug holes. The solution is to replace the gasket - a 45 minute to hour's job. No biggie. The oil doesn't usually come down in a great gush - instead, it just weeps oil. You get a very thin film at the gasket and down the sides, and you don't see puddling until you get to the lowest spot.

If you're still worried about the DI cassette, do a simple inspection. Flip the cassette over, so the point bits point up. You'll see some Torx screws there (5 or 6, can never remember). Unscrew them, as they just hold on a plastic cover. Pull the cover off. You'll see the four coils. Turn the cassette back over and peer through the translucent plastic of the coils. Is the oil level about the same in all of them (about 80% of the way up)? If you see oil on any coil, or a crack in the plastic, or one or more coils with little or no oil, then the DI is in trouble and needs replacement. If they all look fine, then you should be fine.

My guess is that you're seeing oil leaking from the valve cover gasket.
