A whole host of possiblities-
Fuel injectors make noise, and some are noiser than others. Also, every time a fuel injector closes, that sends a little pressure pulse down that metal fuel rail. At the end of the rail is a Fuel Pressure Damper, whose job in life is to damp out those pulses, mostly because they make noise and people complain. It's possible that your damper isn't damping as well as it might. I've even seen Technical Bulletins where they install TWO dampers to quiet things down.
Then there's the possiblity of a pulley (Power steering pump, alternator) with a slight imperfection hitting something. Oil pressure is lower at idle, so if a lifter is lazy, you'll hear it more then.
Frankly, the Saab 4-cylinder likes to rattle/tick, especially at idle. I wouldn't worry. If you're really into finding it, get yourself a cheap stethescope and start listening. I usually just use a couple of feet of garden hose, one end to my ear, the other moving around the engine compartment to localize the problem. But a mechanic's stethescope may be necessary if you want to localize it to a particular fuel injector.
