Well I called the shop today and they replaced the A-arm, to no avail. The guy is going to try to see if the axle from an ’86 9000 automatic because he thinks it might be longer. In my backyard I have a almost fully complete ’86 9000T, I was hit from behind and it was considered totaled. The axle that’s in the car with the problem is the one I too out of the old one and had rebuilt. But there shouldn’t be any problem with the old axle in the first place considering it’s the same one that’s been in there for the past 15 years.
I’m not a mechanic, but I would like to know as much about my car as possible. What is the inner driver you referred to? I’ll ask him about the sub-frame and the inner driver tomorrow.
I also want to thank you guys for all the help. This is my second car (first one was totaled, darn Arizona drivers), second SAAB, and only car until I get out of college and get a real job. Thanks a lot.
Andrew
