You're saying it never takes less than 2-3 seconds for engine to drop to idle, and then it stalls? Or, are you saying sometimes it drops rapidly occasionally, then stalls? This could be an indication of a malfunctioning decel dashpot (the UFO - unusually frustrating object), but with my cars experience, a totally dead dashpot still doesn't cause a stall. Yes, without it there, rpms drock like the proverbial stone to about 500-600 rpm, but my car never stalled as a result of that. I only got stalls with a bad 'hooter' valve. Even with zero adjustment of the bad dashpot, after I did as you described, cleaned out AIC, TB, and AMM, and new BPV, dramatically improved throttle response and stopped the dropping to 500-600 rpm. Unfortunately I think the dashpot is catching up to me, or I need to clean things out again, because now I'm getting the rpms dropping again upon putting in the clutch.
Anyhoo.. maybe I'll just buy a new UFO and be done with it..
Aaron
