things go bad while the car is there or truly, shortly after they leave. I was darn near decapitated while leaning over a car and the water pump seized, sending the fan whizzing by my head and sticking into the plaster wall.
Transmission fluid 'pouring' out does sound suspicious, but on the other hand, sometimes fluid changes can stir things up...could be the fluid change kicked up a piece of metal that tore the seal.
