Heat stays on, not the plastic servo arm...

Hello, have a 1988 9000T and the heat stays on. Checking past threads, there seems to be a common problem with the plastic servo arm breaking. This is not the case with my vehicle, and the attached servo motor is still operational. The AC seems to pump great - lots of cold air when the car is cool, but eventually it is overcome by the heat pouring through. Is there any type of diagram available so that I can understand how the heating/cooling system is setup, so as to perhaps come up with a manual solution of blocking the heat during the summertime? Thanks!
