The a/c in my 1992 9000 Turbo has been the bane of my existence since I bought the car. I've replaced the compressor, the evaporator, switched it to 134 from 12, and it still barely works. Overall my expenses have run close to $3,000 to cool this bitch off, and living in Atlanta, a/c's mandatory. Part of the problem is that I've been a sucker and just listened to all the crooked mechanics (i.e., Kelley Saab, Atlanta Import Autoworks, and S&J Automotive) who have assured me that the parts they were replacing would fix the problem. Looking back, I'm sure there was just a leaking hose or something that was causing the system to lose refridgerant. Either way, I feel your pain. These cars are definitely built with a cold climate in mind, they don't like warm weather.
