oops wrong key! associated with dynamic responses of the system. When the Base boost is raised too quickly from modulation to max demand the trionics has a certain time to process the manifold pressure sensor information. When the wastegate is clamped too tightly (higher base boost) the WG motor must build up more pressure before modulation takes place then it rapidly increases manifold pressure. For the reason of timing for processing, the trionics also looks at rates of rise in pressure at the absolute manifold pressure sensor input. The rapid rise looks like an apparent overboost condition (anticipated) and the system over modulates the wastegate momentarily and early. The hysteresis (difference in response tracking the curve in both directions ie, time loss in the response of action demanded and the result achieved) in the system is probably causing the early cutback ie- lower pressure. if you more slowly advance the throttle you may not get the same response. Technically, the upper limit should not change since this is controlled by the trionics software.
