But I need some help from you guys (AG, JJ, Ari, BillJ?). Although long ago I'd already experimented with unplugging my BPC to see if the Aero would still overboost, and it didn't, only producing base boost as it should, I thought I would try it again today on the way home since the problem has sort of evolved, and just to double check.
Voila, I ran the test a couple times just to verify, but she's boosting way into the red enroute to fuel cut off with the BPC unplugged. I should point out that it once held itself to base boost, which indicates that the problem is erratic, and why it has been so hard to diagnose. Remember this is a brand new BPC and the hoses leading out of the BPC appear to be in perfect shape.
Now, I'm not a Saab expert, but my thinking is that the depth of field has been narrowed significantly to: either the wastegate actuator, the wastegate, or a combination of both are sticking. I would appreciate your thoughts on whether I'm off base, or how I should proceed.
BTW, can the actuator be ordered as seperate part?
Regards,
Bill
