1st sorry about the flood-
The AIC as i understand controls the air coming into the system --
they are troublesome little buggers -- I know mine needs replacing
due to a poor idle on startup.
The following was found on this BB.
>
Greetings,
I am trying to set the base idle on my 88 9000T. Townsend's site says the AIC test point is on the connector on the bulkhead near the hood hinge. I have a long rectangular plastic cap (round on one end) under which, there are several groups of connectors. There are a few squarely aligned ones, and on the far right, there is a circular one with 5 or 6 connectors. Does any one know which pin is the test point?
Also, are the pinouts on the throttle switch correctly listed? On my car, when the throttle is closed, the middle contact and the contact closest to the _passenger_ side are connected. At open throttle, these two pins are not connected. Is this a difference between the 900 and the 9000 (since on Townsend's site, he tries to describe both in parallel)?
TIA,
Skrunch.
