As you now know, the rear axle is not designed to take the weight of the car, and of course, the middle is the weakest point. It is very likely you have damaged it (this is not an uncommon occurence). You can check it yourself by placing as long a straight edge as you can on the underside, looking for it to be bent upwards from the middle. If it isn't perfectly straight, it isn't the end of the world - it can be straightened but I would advise you not to try it yourself. Someone here suggested a "frame shop" which I presume fixes accident damage and probably doesn't sell picture frames.
The best thing, though, would be to have the rear wheel alignment checked (including camber and castor). A good tyre shop or the aforementioned frame shop should be able to do this for you.
