Had a strage smell coming out of the vents the other day, figured maybe somthing was growing in the air inlet box. So being the enterprising individual I am I decided (Here it comes) to pull the air filter and spray a bunch of disinfectant down in there and rinse it out with water. Lots of water. I knew my A/C drains were clean, just took em apart last week. What I failed to relize was that the drain hole is about 1/2 inch and I was using a 1 inch water hose. Hey, if I turn on the fan to high it should help pull the water through the A/C evaperator, Right? Yeah, it pulled it though. Right into the ACC panel and the Sterio and CD player. OOPS! The ACC seems to have recovered after a disasembly and bath in WD-40, But I'm still working on the radio. The main problem is it won't shut off., even with the key removed from the car. Lesson learned (and shared) I guess.
