For those who dont read this BB often, I found out
that I could have cooled the motor by turning on the aircon
as the second fan on the front of the rad will also cool
the car in traffic. If the car overheats pull over allow
tha car to cool off. to get the fan at the back of the rad
to run if the fan is not
-- use a short piece of wire to bridge across the wires that
connect to the bit that goes into the radiator (becareful the turbo
will burn the back of your hand as I found out)
The fan can run all the time until you get to mechanic. If the thermo-
stat is stuck the car will read hot and the fan may not come on.
My mechanic suggested gutting the 'stats inside and replacing it
as a it would then flow some coolant. need 12 mm socket and Allen keys
Fun Huh! Later....
