HELP! Clutch Emeregency (Jay is this what happened to you?)

Twice Yesterday the clutch pedal on my 1992 9000T went to the floor and did not come back on it's own. The first time the clutch itself remained disengaged, I pulled it back and tried to drive away, it went down again, I picked it up again and then it worked fine.
Later in the day after drving maybe another 15 miles, I had the car in reverse and the clutch pedal all the way in. The car began to stall like I was letting off the clutch without gasing it even though the clutch remained depressed. I picked the pedal up, depressed it again and when I moved the stick the gears began to grind like the clutch was not depressed,
I pulled it back up and then it worked fine. I drove the car home about half a mile with no trouble and haven't touched it since.
Additonally: The day before the car had been subjected to about three hours of crawling stop and go traffic and drove through about 50 ft of 6inch water on a flooded highway.
Any thoughts about what to check out? How far the car can be driven to get it serviced?
Thanks, Chad
