Nice warm seats again....

The instructions given on the Quasi site were very easy and I was able to do the repair in only a couple of hours. But I would like to add the follwing tips I learned from the experience.

1 The problem may be in the lower back heat pad. There does not seem to be a mention of this in the instructions and "if not aware" of this fact you could end up ripping many holes in the bottom pad looking for a fault that is not there. The first thing you should do is disconnect the rear pad and test them independently.

2 Because there is no mention of the lower back pad in the instructions I was in the unknown trying to peel the seat leather up....luckily I found the fault in the lower section.

3 On Ari's advice I used "contact adhesive" to glue the pad back down where I had lifted it. It seemed to work well. I also glued a "patch" over the repair by cutting a piece of similar material from underneath the actual seat cushion.

4 I did not even consider trying to put the old metal springs up through the seat...the whole thing seemed very tedious. I used long (About 12 inches long) cable ties that I bought at Tandy. I was able to easily fit them and then tighten them through all the holes in the seat.

I hope this message either encourages someone to take the leap to do the fix....it really is easy......now I have to change a few bulbs in the dash.....that one seems much harder to do.
