both my 9k's (an 88S 2.0/auto - 92 9KT/5sp) were bought at just over 100K miles, and they both had a lot of the typical saabnormalites, namely heater cores, A/C issues, ABS light on (bad sensor), etc. etc.
Maintenance definitely plays a part...both my cars looked like they were very well taken care of until around 75K and then the previous owners just let 'em go to hell. it took a bit of time and money to get 'em fixed and spiffed up, but it was worth it, I feel totally comfortable that each will go at least another 100K before any major work is needed again.
That is a lot of miles on an almost 8 year old car! keep hammering on it, but I would strongly recommend you also maintain it religiously, and be proactive in replacing suspect parts. Fix stuff when it breaks, don't let things like bulbs/switches etc. pile up, and you'll have a 300,000 mile Aero in a few years that still rips!
