I cannot remember from my dealer days if the timing chains in the later 2.3 engines were a source of problems. I have noticed a bit of a raspy sound from my nat. asp. 94 9000cs at higher engine speeds, and I know my old 900's guides and such were pretty much shot by 125K. thanks.
