I'm sure increasing the diameter of the bar would enhance the effect, but it's an expensive experiment. However, as I mentioned, I suspect my rear anti-roll bar may be twisted and require replacement anyway. I imagine that there is a certain point beyond which you will get too much oversteer. However, firming up the front as well as stiffening the rear bar should give fairly balanced handling with less overall roll.
My understanding is that oversteer and understeer are mutually exclusive. So if I have reduced understeer by stiffening the rear, I have increased the tendency towards oversteer. If I stiffen the rear beyond the point where I get neutral handling, I will have a car that oversteers. Conversely, if I reduce oversteer by stiffening the front, I increase the tendency to understeer. There is a neutral point in the middle somewhere.
Yes, I'm talking about the front control arm rear bush. I did take care to let the bracket and centre tube cool slowly, rather than quench them and risk making them brittle. However, they didn't get red-hot anyway.
