Had another emissions test today to see what difference having the injectors cleaned had made, particularly to mixture. Being a simple soul, I had an idea that bigger holes would mean richer mixture.
However, the only differences after the cleanup were that CO at idle went down from .02% to 0.00%, and lambda went from 1.01 to 1.02 - which could just be .001 of a change, rounded up! So there we go.
Kenny says this figure is fine for these engines - feedback on this comment would be very welcome! I may just be living in the past. Car is going so well that I plan to stop worrying and let Trionic take the strain - I'd be better off worrying about the brakes. Plugs have some colour and some greyish deposits, and are at the weaker end of the acceptable scale as shown in NGK's piccy on the website. I'm certainly not polluting the atmosphere, either.
Oh - sully, the cleaner he uses is called Tec 2000. Of course, all the above may simply mean that either the injectors didn't need cleaning, or the injector cleaner didn't work...
