Egads NO! Why would you want clear taillights on a 9000??

Or any other car, for that matter. I have YET to see a car that looks better with clear tail-lights. Most cars look far worse. Of course, then we have Lexus with the IS300 and RX300, that are just plain ugly right out of the gate. Hey, since they come with clear already, is the aftermarket tuner crown going to add non-clear lights?? :)

Anyhoo, this is all personal taste, but IMHO, the taillights of the 9000 are among the best looking ever, at least the '86-92 9000. To each his own..


As for the air filter, I believe several people have either done an open air filter (K & N or similar) in the engine comparment, and some other people have actually gotten into the wheel well past the air filter and removed a part of the stock intake to flow better. As for bringing in only cold air, the stock location I think is actually pretty good for that on a 9000... Anyhoo, I'm using the stock intake and filter and am running roughly 40% more HP and torque than stock.
