Hello list,
This is my first post so be easy on me,
I have a 86 Saab 9kt this is my girlfriends car so I find out whats wrong with it at the last possible second this is what she told me and what I've checked,
1) the car would'nt start so she had it jumped one day about a few months ago so I recharged the battery( about 2 years old) it held for another month and she called me and told me that she needed to jump it again so I checked the charge and it was weak.
2) I got a rebuilt alternator with a new serpinten belt put it all back together and started the car no problem sept that the battery light is on now so I checked the battery again and got 11.82V went to parts store to get new battery tried again with a meeter across the battery with nothing on and with all excessories on and even with the new alternator and battery the volts are'nt where ther supposed to be at 13-14 there only at 11.0 or so so something is'nt rite,
what am I missin?
If theres anything I can clerify get back to me and I'll clerify I'm going to go check everything again and write it down so I can give a list of what I've done and what happens.
Thanks
Ron
