Sorry but more clunking. . .long

My '94 9000 Aero (60k miles) is clunking from the front end. The front a-arm bushings and torque arm bushings are new superflex units. The hydraulic engine mounts display no leakage or abnormal movement, the car won't clunk when put in 1st or reverse gear with the e-brake on. The steering is smooth all the way and the clunk is unrelated to degree of steering angle. I've tightened every nut and bolt on the bottom front half of the car to the proper torque spec and it still clunks when starting out in first! It seems that every simple cause has been ruled out--like loose wheel lug nuts or strut tower bolts. It's become a total war. Could it be possible the clunking is coming from strut bearings or steering rack? If so, how can I rule these out? Can anyone shed any new light on this? Sorry if there is something I missed in archives or a Quasi's and thanks for any help.
