Are you sure Consumer reports "stinks"?

So they made an editorial error. Gee. A billion words a year (just guessin') and one sentence is wrong.
More importantly, they now rate the 9-5 as a better buy than the BMW 5xx. If your biases are correct (they're all Camry drivers) then what are the odds of THAT?
And c'mon, let's laugh at their mistake, but no rant on it: they now bother to even test/write-up cars like the 9000, 9-5 and BMWs. Thougout their salad days (when they were green in judgement) they would sweep aside anything that was mildly un-boring. I can remember literally laughing out loud at their "reviews" in the late 70s and early 80s. Sure, they were right in the most RIGID pro-consumer sense of the word, but gadzooks, would anyone want to be that "correct"?!
