Have someone wiggle the steering wheel while you watch the rack. If it moves from side to side by an appreciable amount, it's worth changing the mounting bushes. There was about 1/4" movement in the rack on my '96 Aero and I replaced the bushes (with poly bushes, but I'm sure OEM ones would have made a big difference too). Tramlining was much reduced.
As a temporary measure, tightening up the steering rack mounting bolts can make quite a difference and confirm what the problem is.
Wider tyres tend to exaggerate tramlining problems.
