... this works by reducing traction at the rear and will have an effect, albeit not a huge one, on straight-line (braking) traction too. I'm told about 40psi will achieve the desired effect. Experiment, but I wouldn't go any higher than 40psi. Expect the ride to suffer.
A better way of reducing understeer on a 9000 is to beef up the rear anti-roll bar. I simply fitted polyurethane anti-roll bar bushes on the rear of my '96 Aero (£10 and 10 minutes) and this made an amazing difference for the cost and effort involved. Understeer was substantially reduced. This will only affect cornering and not straight-line (braking) traction, and doesn't involve strange tyre-pressure setups.
The bushes were from SuperFlex in the UK. See link below. They seem happy to deal with overseas customers (the giveaway is spelling "tyre" with an "i").
Abbott Racing also sell polyurethane anti-roll bar bushes.
