Test drove the 91 9000 Turbo a couple hours ago. It felt good, but definitely had a certain amount of interior/exterior wear. There's a little bit of rust spreading from the inside of one passenger door. There's a bit of fading, and the trim shows its age. It was considerably noisier than the 93-- interior creaks etc (could be that I was driving them in different areas). It feels like the suspension is alot stiffer than the 93-9KT (can anyone verify this?). It's quick and there's a much more direct connection between the gas and acceleration (lack of TCS perhaps?)-- very little turbo-lag. The ceiling-felt-stuff was coming down in the very very back (noticeable only when looking in the hatchback window). The floor mats, while new (Saab brand), are not the same color as the rest of the car (they're gray, the car is tan inside). Both cars a fully loaded (absolutely every option). The 91 guy doesn't seem too willing to budge on the price ($5100) although I didn't really push him on it.

I can't think of anything else...what do you people have to say about it?

Thanks,
Nate

"----Ok, checking out two local cars. The first:

"91 9000 TURBO:
125kmi, leather, PS, pwr heated seats, no rust, tape/CD, EQ, 1-owner, new clutch, tires, brakes, muffler, alt, $5100"

Haven't seen, driven or haggled.

and second:

"93 9000 CSE TURBO:
white/grey leather heated seats, 99kmi, sunroof, 5spd, tape & CD, all records day one, must see, clean, $6950"

Drove, the clutch was horrible and the exhaust was sulphur-y. The interior's in good shape, but the paint's white (least favorite color behind teal). Apart from all this it was nice. They said they'd "take care of the clutch" and sell it to me for $5900. I haven't had it checked out by the SAAB dealership (sometime next week---maybe). They have all records. It seems like the catalytic converter might be need to be replaced (sulphur-y exhaust).

So, what do you think? Which sounds better, which is a more desirable year? (Quasi says 91) Is the 91 likely to have a sunroof?

Thanks,
Nate ----"
