98 cse engine compartment layout question

My brother just recently purchased a 98 cse and wants to put a dual remote oil filter system as is on my spg. i am not as familiar with the 9000 engine bay layout and would like some feedback. is the oem filter in the front or back ( firewall side) i looked at an earlier model and it appears that the there is room on the firewall behind the engine. this tho would be a long hose assembly if the filter were on the front. (it appeared to be on the back for the one i looked at) basically i need room for two ph-8 sized filters side by side plus 2-3 inches more. i can weld up brackets if there is even room up front to put them.
Any suggestions on where one might locate this. they can even be mounted horizontally.
thanx
