Had my 1969 Renault Gordini Ziebarted when I bought it new .In those days they gave you a bottle of solvent to clean the wax "fog" off the inside of the windows that would appear whenever the car was parked in the sun !!
I suppose the Ziebart slowed the inevitable rust but I always had the feeling that most of the protection was blasted off by driving on dirt or gravel roads in summer and through rock salt-sand mix on the winter roads .
The process was quite thorough . They sprayed into hollow areas like inside the rocker and door panels by drilling holes in them and sealing those with colorful yellow plastic plugs . Good for condensation protection but the undersides soon lost its coating due to abrasion and rusted out.
I suppose if you had your car rustproofed every fall it would help . Personally I do not drive my 86 T once the snow flies I have a winter "Beater" that is slowly rusting away .
