On this year model, that kind of behavior is symptomatic of an air leak in the intake system somewhere. Check all of the vacuum hoses, first to see that they on their fittings, and second that they are not cracked. Another prime suspect is the turbo bypass valve. This small plastic can has two one inch hoses connected to it at right angles and a small vacuum hose on one end. The diaphragm in the bypass valve can become ruptured. Pull the vacuum hose off at the other end and see if it holds a vacuum.
