I HAD 205/55X16 on my 1992 9k and they rubbed when the wheel was turned fully especially if the road surface was uneven. I bought the car used and they were already on it mounted to Super Aero wheels. I replaced them with 205/50X16 and the problem went away. I now run 225/45X16 Michelin Pilot SX and have no rubbing problems at all.
