I should look for?
I was getting a Check Engine error of "incorrect fuel/air mix at idle" for a couple weeks. I put in some heavy duty fuel system cleaner. After about 3/4 of a tank, it started running REALLY bad. That was several days ago.
Typical run: quick start/low idle/stall - then VERY hard start, when it finally catches, gun it for a few seconds, then idles fine - hesitates/sputters intermitantly on take off - sputters a little intermitantly at speed. Worst first thing in the morning, but bad any time it has sat for more than a couple minutes.
I have: checked for vacumn leaks, cleaned AIC and throttle plate/housing, filled tank twice to dilute cleaner. I also have a 3 month old fuel pump (Walbro), and 3 month old Bosch generic O2 sensor.
Saturday, I will be: checking AIC, AMM, Throttle Position Sensor, O2 Sensor to make sure they have voltage and resistance to spec as well as inspecting the Fuel Pressure Regulator.
Any other leads you can give? I have scoured the TSN archives and Townsand and the above seems to be the checklist.
