between .1V-.9V when everything is in order and engine is hot. With cold engine just started up, the O2 should read steady .5 V. This until O2 heats up and starts to fluctuate.
The .5V you see is a reference signal from ECU sent toward O2 sensor, but when O2 starts to work it overcomes the .5V signal and sends it's own signal back into the ECU. Disconnect the black lead at O2 and measure signal from ECU with KOER=key on engine running, if not .5V the ECU is bad
Be sure to use a high sensetive voltmeter for all this.
You can check the O2 sensor by snapping the throttle/rev up engine several times in a fast pace, reading the voltmeter at the same time. If it jumps up to .9V at any time, the O2 is probably good.
If it doesn't, the O2 could still be good but you have a very lean condition somewhere and the snapping didn't push enough fuel into the system to activate the O2.
