Quasi's right, now for the high idle....

I recently got my 87 9000T back on the road after replacing the head gasket and doing a valve job, but it was not giving enough boost. I decided to turn my boost bypass valve around and my boost increased dramatically. In fact it comes in earlier than it used to.
The other issue I have is a high idle. I have checked for vacuum leaks and find none. I have looked at the idle stabilizer by removing it and manually closing it then checking to see if it opens after running the engine and it does open. I've also closed it and left it disconnected, but then it idles low and is unstable. I've checked the throttle valve position switch and it is adjusted correctly. The only thing I haven't done there, as I think about it now, is test the switch for continuity. Hmmmm, could that be the issue here?
One other thing I'm curious about is I have another switch on the rear of the throttle that is also actuated by the throttle, does anyone know what this switch is for and how it is supposed to be hooked up?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Tom R.
