Bear with me here (as you graciously have the past few days). I ran a VIN check on the '97 9000CSE that I'm close to purchasing and apparently it was registered in British Columbia in August '98 as a new vehicle. It was emissions tested in B.C. in August of each of the following 2 years with mileage readings of approx. 10,000kms and 20,000kms respectfully. There is no e-test for 2000 and the car has 46,000kms on it now (an insrease of 26,000 in the last 16 months). Tomorrow I will get an ownership history. It is currenty at the Saab dealer having the alternator replaced (under warranty) and I called and asked for them to do a full inspection including compression test (they are). This car was purchased at auction in Toronto by the independent dealer who is currently selling it. Is it odd for a car this new that was registered in B.C. to show up at auction in Toronto? There are a couple other '97 CSEs that I've found since putting a downpayment on this B.C. car. They are a bit more expensive, have more mileage, but are being sold by Saab dealers who have maintained the cars at there locations since new with full records. Again, the B.C. car is still under warranty 'til August 2002 and some of these other cars are no longer under warranty. Am I being overly tentative here or what?
